A Quick, Flavorful Meal the Whole Family Will Love

Why Families LOVE This Dish

Looking for a quick and easy family dinner that’s packed with flavor, family-approved, and ready in just 30 minutes? Our Teriyaki Chicken Noodles recipe is here to save the day! This dish combines tender chicken, vibrant veggies, and noodles drenched in a homemade teriyaki sauce that’s perfectly sweet and savory. It’s like a warm hug in a bowl, perfect for busy weeknights and sure to please even the pickiest eaters!

Ingredients

Here’s everything you’ll need to bring this flavor-packed meal to life (serves 4):

  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced

  • 2 cups fresh stir-fry vegetables (like capsicum, carrots, snow peas, cabbage, broccoli)

  • 200g noodles (I use Asia Hokkien noodles from Coles. These thick egg noodles hold up beautifully during cooking, staying intact while soaking up all the delicious flavors!)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated

  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil (optional but adds amazing depth)

  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped

  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix up soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.

  2. Cook your noodles according to the package instructions. Drain the noodles and toss them with about 1/3 of the teriyaki sauce, mixing well to coat. If the noodles are too long, simply cut them with kitchen scissors for easier serving

  3. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken slices, searing them until golden and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  4. Toss your colorful veggies into the skillet and stir-fry them for about 3–4 minutes. We want them bright and crisp!

  5. Heat the oil in the skillet and sauté the garlic and ginger for about 1 minute. Then, add the chicken, veggies, sauce, and noodles to the wok. Toss everything together until the noodles are coated in that gorgeous sauce. Top with green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds, and get ready to serve!

PlatePal Tips for Fun & Flavor

Make It Kid-Friendly: Let kids pick their favorite veggies to add to the dish! They’ll love customizing their own version and are more likely to dig in.

Time Saver: Prep the chicken and veggies the night before, so you can whip this up even faster when it’s time to cook.

Make It Your Own: Like things spicy? Add a pinch of chili flakes or a dash of sriracha for a little kick!
